Fortnite Battle Royale
Fortnite is one of the biggest games in the World with over 125 million users. Fortnite is a 3rd person shooter battle royale game which pits 100 players against each other on a map with a enclosing circle called the "storm" which pushes users closer and closer together on a clock. The last player standing will be declared the victor. The game has many modes but the most common are solos, duos, and sqauds (which is 4 players).
Fortnite is the first major title to be cross platform compatible. This means xbox, ps4, and PC players can all play with and against each other in the same matches. Xbox and Ps4 are given a handicap whenever playing with PC users due there being a slight difficulty increase in aiming using controllers over keyboard and mouse. This is called aim assist and essentially enlargens the opposing players hit boxes to make shots easier to land.
Fortnite biggest appeal has been considered its wide audience attraction. The cartoon-ish characters and kid friendly game aspects such as, no blood when a player is shot or corpses when a player is killed, attract the younger gamers. The very high skill cap attracts the older and more hardcore gaming crows as Fortnite has the highest skill ceiling of any major online game currently.
